Lars Arendt-Nielsen has received the research award of the Danish Rheumatism Association, Dronning Ingrids Forskerpris 2016 (Queen Ingrid’s Research Award 2016). The award was presented by Her Majesty The Queen at the royal palace in Copenhagen on the World Arthritis Day 2016.
The award is given to Lars Arendt-Nielsen in recognition of his internationally respected and ground-breaking research within pain.

A group of medical students from Aalborg University wrote their bachelor project on sleep and chronic pain. The study was completed in collaboration with two pain researchers and the results are now published in a scientific journal with the students as co-authors.
