Head of Laboratory: Mark de Zee, Associate Professor (MdZ)
Aim
The main aim is to develop, validate and apply musculoskeletal models to basic research and clinical problems. A combined experimental and computational approach will give the most in depth knowledge about our complex musculoskeletal system.
Main Research Areas
- Development and improving of generic models
e.g. the lumbar spine, cervical spine, mandible. - Development of methods for making subject-specific models
- Validation of models
- Applications of models in combinations with experimental investigations:
- Sports science
- Mandibular distraction osteogenesis
- Pressure ulcer research
- Orthopedics
Key Collaborators
- The AnyBody Research Group
- Department of Orthodontics, School of Dentistry, Aarhus University
