At the 10th Annual Meeting of the Danish Society of Biomechanics (Dansk Biomekanisk Selskab, DBS), PhD student at SMI, Morten Bilde Simonsen, won the DBS Student Award for the presentation of the abstract “Effect of Experimental Tibialis Posterior Muscle Pain on Muscle Recruitment: A Parametric Study”. The abstract was selected as one of the four best student abstract, and after the presentation by Morten Bilde Simonsen, it was selected as the winner of the DBS Student Award.

TEACHING-BASED RESEARCH PAVES THE WAY FOR GOOD RESULTS
A group of medical students from Aalborg University wrote their bachelor project on sleep and chronic pain. The study was completed in collaboration with two pain researchers and the results are now published in a scientific journal with the students as co-authors.
