Lars Arendt-Nielsen inaugurated as IASP President

At the 17th World Congress on Pain in Boston, Professor Lars Arendt-Nielsen was inaugurated as President of IASP (The International Association for the Study of Pain) - the word-leading professional forum for science, practice, and education in the field of pain. IASP has more than 8,000 members in more than 100 countries.

Former IASP President Judith Turner passed the gavel to Lars Arendt-Nielsen during the IASP General Assembly.

During his two-year presidential period, Lars Arendt-Nielsen will work for better global education and education material within the pain area and through a determined international political effort ensure that more chronic pain patients have access to qualified pain relieving treatment
