TELEDI@LOG PROJECT PROVES A SUCCESS

Last modified: 14.06.2016

User-driven innovation was the starting point for identifying cardiac patients’ acknowledged and un-acknowledged need for participation in rehabilitation. Since 2012 the interdisciplinary Teledi@log research team has provided cardiac patients with different sorts of training programs and measurement devices, e.g. a step counter.

The step counter measured the cardiac patient's walking activity and furthermore it proved to be a motivational tool to increase and maintain physical activity for the patient. Birthe Dinesen, Project manager of Teledi@log is very satisfied with the outcome of the project: "We have gathered essential knowledge about the patient's activity levels, habits, and motivation - both in relation to  walking activity, but also in relation to the patient's motivation for using new technologies".

TV2 Nord has interviewed one of the participating cardiac patients Mr. Viggo Højen Jensen. Click here to watch the interview and read TV2 Nord's article (in Danish)
