Smart rehabilitation of heart patients renders security

Last modified: 25.01.2017

A new online platform is able to follow patients with heart failure and can be used in a cooperation between patient, hospital and local authorities. This creates overview and knowledge in a situation where the patient needs rehabilitation to return to his/her everyday life. The platform uses digital technology, e.g. pedometers and sleep sensors, to measure the physical condition of the patient, and in addition the technology acts as a link between the patient and health care professionals.

The project Future Patient is based on research at SMI in the research interest group Integrative Neuroscience and is managed by Birthe Dinesen, Associate Professor.
