Ernst Albin Hansen received the Julius Bomholt Award for his research within motor control and behavior in connection with rhythmic movements when cycling, walking and running.
The Danish Minister for Culture, Mette Bock, says the following:
“Ernst Albin Hansen receives the Julius Bomholt Award because his research has provided new knowledge about how we best use our strength when cycling and how athletes perform the best possible training. In particular, the knowledge about how we use and spend our energy is important to athletes.
I am pleased that the Julius Bomholt Award is given to a researcher whose results are not immediately available to non-professionals. However, the results are important and may benefit many people.”
