From 5 to 9 September 2017 SMI hosts the KNEEMO Workshop on advanced computational modelling of the knee and knee joint structure with 45 participants.

The event is opened with mini conference on 5 September with scientific presentations. The workshop on advanced computational modelling of the knee and knee joint structure takes place from 6 to 9 September. Local organizer of the workshop is Associate Professor Mark de Zee.
KNEEMO is the Initial Training Network (ITN) for knee osteoarthritis research funded through the European Commission’s Framework 7 Programme.

A group of medical students from Aalborg University wrote their bachelor project on sleep and chronic pain. The study was completed in collaboration with two pain researchers and the results are now published in a scientific journal with the students as co-authors.
