On 11 April 2014 Aalborg University celebrated its 40-year Anniversary.
Jeppe Nørgaard Poulsen, a student of Associate Professor Parisa Gazerani, won the Roblon Prize for most innovative master project, Bo Geng, Ph.D., won the SparNord Prize for the best Ph.D. thesis (supervised by Associate Professor Winnie Jensen), Dr. Oliver Wilder-Smith was awarded the diploma for his dr.scient. dissertation, and Dr. Michele Curatolo was appointed as a Honorary Doctor for his 15 years of collaboration with SMI.
